Mozilla Thunderbird - an email client

One of the main ways that we deal with our recruits and even some of our customers is using email. I just wanted to share a tool I found today with everyone that might be as hindered by their email client as I have been.

A few years back we "lost" Outlook Express. Because of that, my only form of email was using the webmail program supplied by my Internet provider. Basically it was a way that I could access my email on the server, but it was VERY dysfunctional!!!

This morning, I found a replacement called Mozilla Thunderbird. It's so much more functional and I'm sure that my team members and customers will find that I'm no long just writing emails to them in plain old TEXT!!!

Mozilla Thunderbird allows me to have more than one email account in one location, so I can have my personal email and my business email in one spot without having to log out of one to log into the other.

It also allows me to choose which columns I want to see in my view. For example, I could create a sub-folder for sent emails that I want to keep, but I was not able to see WHO I sent the email to, only who sent it (duh, it's from me of course!). With Mozilla Thunderbird, I've been able to change those columns so I can see now who I sent those emails to.

Mozilla Thunderbird also allows me to connect using IMAP or POP3. You may wonder what's the difference. IMAP keeps the emails on the server where POP3 actually downloads them to your computer. I chose IMAP so I could change from one computer to another with ease.

One more bonus, and a big one, IT'S FREE!!!! It's absolutely free, and I don't see any ads. Along with it being free it looks ALOT like Microsoft Outlook!

I have also found that there are quite a few Options you can set up, so you can make it as fancy or as plain as you want.

So if you're looking for a better email client, check out Mozilla Thunderbird. So far, it's done everything I've been wanting to do and more!!!
